How do I use chamois cream?
We're all girls here, so we'll get right to the point.  It goes on your girly bits.  You know..."down there" on your crotch, nether regions, hoo hoo, flower, tweeny, privates, lady parts, junk, booty, bum, or whatever you prefer to call it.  Chamois cream is essential to help you stay comfortable and prevent chafing, irritation, and saddle sores while you ride.  "Chamois Cream 101" is a whole page of information dedicated to what chamois cream is, why it's important, and how to use it.

Where are your products made?
All of our products are made in San Diego, CA to our specifications by one of the nation's premier developers and manufacturers of plant-based, natural skin care products .  While we'd love to be able to tell you a tale about how all of our products are crafted by hand in our kitchen using plant essences from our backyard garden, we decided the development and manufacturing process would be better handled by experts with over 40 years of experience in their state-of-the-art facilities.  This ensures you receive safe, pure products made with the highest quality ingredients.

There are a lot of really big words in the ingredients list.  How can these possibly be natural?
Yes, we agree...some of these words in our ingredients lists are HUGE!  However, all those big words should NOT intimidate you...they are seriously sheep wearing wolves' clothing.  The International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI) was developed in the 1970's by the Personal Care Products Council in effort to ensure consistent and uniform cosmetics ingredients nomenclature worldwide.  It is very simply an organized system for naming ingredients used in cosmetics.  In order to keep consumers safe from potential allergic reactions, the FDA requires INCI names be used on the ingredient labels of all personal care products.  INCI names are assigned by the Council based on their chemical structure and composition...so these names often end up VERY long.  And just because the words are big, doesn't mean they are not naturally-derived, plant-based ingredients.  Want to learn more about what our ingredients do and how they are derived?  Check out our our ingredients page.

I'm a mountain biker.  Do I need to use chamois cream?
Yes!  Even if you don't ride a road bike or you don't do triathlons, you still have friction on your most delicate body parts when you ride your mountain bike.  Apply Joy Ride Creme and go get dirty.

I have really sensitive skin and/or I am highly allergic.  Are your products safe for me?
Our Joy Ride Creme was formulated to be extremely mild.  We have purposely left out many of the ingredients that can be irritating to the skin such as menthol, tea tree oil, peppermint oil, lanolins, parabens, and artificial fragrances.  However, since different people have different sensitivities and allergies to ingredients that aren't typically regarded as irritants, we highly recommend you read our ingredients label carefully to identify any potential irritants and/or allergens your skin reacts to.  If you tend to have reactions to many skin care products and you are not yet aware of which ingredients cause those reactions, we recommend you test Joy Ride Creme first on an small patch of skin on your arm or leg before applying to your sensitive nether regions.

Where can I buy Petal Power products?

How do I become a Petal Power dealer?
We would love to speak with you more about becoming a Petal Power dealer.  Just drop us a line using our contact form.  Please be sure to provide us with your contact information and shop name.

What happened to the Joy Ride System?
Due to some unforeseen issues with the company that manufactured our Clean Start Wipes and the lack of other suppliers able to produce to our specifications, we opted to discontinue to 3-step Joy Ride System we developed and focus just on our Joy Ride Creme chamois cream.
